I found this video on YouTube a few weeks back about riding switchbacks on a singletrack mountain bike trail. I had never really thought about body position much while riding switchbacks until I saw this video. Unfortunately, when I found it, started watching it but then one of kids need something so I stepped away and only got to watch on how to ride an uphill switchback.

Finally tonight, I got to watch the last 2 minutes on riding downhill switchbacks. After watching I see a couple of things I’m doing wrong. The biggest mistake I’m making is entering to fast which makes me tend to skid. I’m off this weekend camping with family but I’ll be sure to work on my downhill switchbacks next Wednesday night.

If you’re interested, check out the short video from BikeSkills.com on riding switchbacks.
